# Referral FAQ

> Frequently asked questions about the Migma referral program

## General

  <Accordion title="How does recurring commission work?">
    You earn **30% of every subscription payment** your referral makes — not just the first one. As long as they stay subscribed, you keep earning. If they pay $99.99/month on Premium, you earn ~$30/month from that single referral.

  <Accordion title="Is there a cap on how much I can earn?">
    No. There is no cap on the number of referrals or total earnings. Refer 5 people and earn \~$100/month. Refer 100 and earn ~$2,000/month. The more you share, the more you earn.

  <Accordion title="Do I need to be a paying customer to refer?">
    No. You can create a Migma account and start referring immediately. You'll get your referral link as soon as you visit the [referral page](https://migma.ai/referral) while logged in.

  <Accordion title="Can I refer myself or use my own link?">
    No. Self-referrals are not allowed and will be flagged. The referral program is designed for recommending Migma to others.

## Tracking & Attribution

  <Accordion title="How are referrals tracked?">
    When someone clicks your referral link, a tracking cookie is set in their browser. If they sign up and subscribe — even days later — the referral is attributed to you automatically.

  <Accordion title="How long does the referral cookie last?">
    The tracking cookie lasts for **90 days**. If someone clicks your link today and subscribes within 90 days, you get the commission.

  <Accordion title="What if someone clears their cookies?">
    If the tracking cookie is cleared before they sign up, the referral may not be attributed. We recommend encouraging people to sign up soon after clicking your link.

  <Accordion title="Can I track my referral performance?">
    Yes. Visit [migma.ai/referral](https://migma.ai/referral) while logged in to see real-time stats: total referrals, pending commissions, approved earnings, and milestone progress.

## Friend's Discount

  <Accordion title="What does my friend get?">
    Your friend gets **50% off their first 3 months** of any paid plan (Premium or Business). The discount is applied automatically when they sign up through your referral link — no coupon code needed.

  <Accordion title="Does the discount stack with other promotions?">
    The referral discount is applied automatically to referred users. They can also use other promotion codes at checkout independently.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What happens after the 3-month discount ends?">
    After 3 months, your friend's subscription renews at the regular price. You continue earning 30% commission on their full subscription payments.

## Payouts

    Payouts are processed **monthly**, within the first 15 days of each month. Commissions are auto-approved when generated — no manual review needed.

  <Accordion title="What's the minimum payout?">
    The minimum payout threshold is **\$50**. Commissions accumulate in your account until the threshold is reached.

  <Accordion title="How do I set up my payout method?">
    Go to your partner portal via [migma.ai/referral](https://migma.ai/referral), navigate to **Settings → Payout method**, and choose from PayPal, Wise, crypto, local bank transfer, or wire/SWIFT. See the full [payouts guide](/referral/payouts) for details.

  <Accordion title="What payout methods are available?">
    We support **PayPal**, **Wise**, **cryptocurrency** (USDC, USDT, BTC), **local bank transfers** (ACH for US), and **international wire/SWIFT transfers**. See the [payouts page](/referral/payouts) for setup instructions.

## Sharing & Promotion

  <Accordion title="Can I create content about Migma to promote my link?">
    Absolutely. You're welcome to create reviews, tutorials, comparison posts, or any other honest content that includes your referral link. Just don't make misleading claims about the product.

  <Accordion title="Can I run paid ads with my referral link?">
    You may use your referral link in paid advertising, but you cannot bid on Migma's brand terms (e.g., "Migma", "migma.ai") in search ads.

## Program Rules

    * Self-referrals or fake accounts
    * Misleading or deceptive promotion
    * Spam or unsolicited mass messaging
    * Bidding on Migma brand terms in search ads
    * Cookie stuffing or any form of attribution fraud

    Violations may result in commission forfeiture and removal from the program.

  <Accordion title="Can my referral program access be revoked?">
    Yes. We reserve the right to modify or terminate the referral program or individual participation at any time. We'll always give notice before making changes that affect pending commissions.
