# External MCP Servers

> Connect external MCP servers so Migma can use tool and data context while preparing email.

External MCP servers let Migma use approved tool context from other systems while preparing email work. Use them when the email should reference live product, customer, document, task, billing, or internal data.

<Info>
  Looking for Migma's MCP server for Claude, Cursor, Codex, ChatGPT, or another AI client? Use [Migma MCP](/mcp-server).

## Best practices

* Connect only sources that contain data appropriate for this brand.
* Enable the smallest useful tool set.
* Review generated content before send or export.
* Disconnect unused servers to keep tool access clear.
* Use [Migma MCP](/mcp-server) when an AI client should control Migma. Use external MCP when Migma should read another tool.
