# Comment threads on canvas

> Anchored canvas comment threads with team mentions, replies, resolve controls, and Commenter access. Review the changes and expected behavior.

Adds anchored comment threads to **Visual Canvas**. Place a comment beside an email, mention a teammate with `@`, reply in the thread, and resolve or reopen feedback without covering the canvas with sticky notes. Mention alerts open the exact thread and wait for teammates who are away. Comment markers show who started each thread and how many replies it contains.

Commenters can now create, reply to, move, and resolve canvas comments while email editing and sending stay disabled for their role. Unresolved feedback remains available to Migma during the next design turn. Resolved threads stay on canvas for reference without affecting later edits.
